Thanks! Character analysis is pretty much my favourite thing to do with fanfic, so I'm glad you liked my take on them. I'm cruious though, what made you connect Maddy with James? She ended up a lot more incidental to the story than I'd originally planned (Laura sort of crept in and stole it) but I didn't really envision her as mopey- just sort of clueless about what was really going on.
